Courses taken at an institution聽outside the United States
College-level courses completed outside the United States and recorded on official transcripts will be evaluated for transfer credit, provided that the institution where the courses were taken is accredited and a translated educational evaluation is provided. Notarized copies and third-party attestations are not acceptable. Summary mark sheets are not accepted. Individual-year mark sheets from Indian institutions are required.
International Baccalaureate Programs (IB)
King recognizes the IB diploma and King will grant a maximum of 8 hours of credit for scores of 5, 6, and 7 on each of the IB Higher Level examinations. The Registrar in conference with the Chief Academic Officer will decide the amount of credit awarded. The maximum number of credit hours awarded for IB is 30.
Cambridge International AS and A Level Courses
The Cambridge AICE points system for Cambridge International A Level is:
- A*聽140 – will be equivalent to an AP score of 5, extremely well, gives credit for course if we have a聽matching equivalent
- 础听120 – will be equivalent to an AP score of 5, extremely well, gives credit for course if we have a matching equivalent
- 叠听100 – will be equivalent to an AP score of 4, well qualified, gives credit for course if we have a matching equivalent
- 颁听80 – will be equivalent to an AP score of 3, qualified, exempts the student from the course if we have a matching equivalent
- 顿听60 – will be equivalent to an AP score of 2, possibly qualified, no credit is given
- 贰听40 – will be equivalent to an AP score of 1, not recommended, no credit is given.
